About Manila Zoo

The Manila Zoo is a 5.5-hectare zoo located in Manila, Philippines. It opened on July 25th, 1959 and serves as one of the educational centers where the public can learn about the Philippine’s fauna and flora. The Popular Manila Zoo is located along Adriatico St., corner Quirino St., Manila.

Manila Zoo Animals

Manila Zoo has a current population of about 500 animals. It features many indigenous Philippines animal species such as the Tamaraw, the Philippine crocodile, the mouse deer, and the Palawan pheasant. You can check out their 106 species, among which are 30 different kinds of mammals, 63 reptile species and 13 types of birds. There is also a crowd pleaser elephant, tigers, lions and the hippos, laso includes indigenous animal bearcat, long-talied macaques and crocodiles.

Manila Zoo Latest Updates

Check out the Manila Zoo's Kinder Zoo, which features the Exotic Birds Aviary, Philippine Mouse Deer house, Turtle Pond, Koi Pond, Flamingo Pond, the Hanging Bridge and the Party Barn.  This place is where your children can pet animals from different part of the world.

Please note that if you are Manila residents, it’s P20 for adults and P10 for children (Just present valid ID like barangay ID, Driver’s License, TIN ID, School ID, SSS ID)

How to Get to Manila Zoo

Manila Zoo is very accessible place, one of the best suggestion to get there is to take taxi ride from any location in Manila and tell to driver to drop off in Manila Zoo.  Another option is you may ride the LRT-Line 1, then get off in Quirino station, and ride a jeepney bound for Mabini or Harrison and ask the driver to drop you off in the zoo itself. The Zoo is also near Ospital ng Maynila and Harrison Plaza.
